Life science marketing agency BioStrata has announced two new senior appointments this month, as part of its ongoing strategy to further build out its specialist marketing services. With key strengths and a strong reputation in inbound marketing, PR, social media, digital marketing, science writing and content development, Kat Steer (PR Account Director) and James Reeve (Director of Digital Services) will complement and expand upon these strengths as BioStrata continues to provide integrated, multi-channel marketing solutions that deliver exceptional results for life science companies.
As Clare Russell PhD, co-founder and Managing Director of BioStrata, explains: “2017 has been a phenomenal year for the BioStrata team. Through organic growth and positive client feedback, the life science sector has made it clear how much it values our niche industry focus, specialist services and critical thinking, so we wanted to strengthen and broaden our team across key service areas to further support this success. James and Kat bring extensive expertise, creativity and customer insights that will dovetail nicely with our existing team and services.”
PR Account Director Kat Steer joins from the British Pharmacological Society, where she was Head of Communications & Membership for five years, with previous experience at agencies Axon Communications and Virgo HEALTH. Director of Digital Services James Reeve brings 15 years of expertise across a number of agency and in-house digital marketing roles, which include working for companies and clients like Argos, Play.com, Nissan, Harley Davidson, The Economist, University of East Anglia, Archant, Hoseasons, and many more.
Paul Avery PhD, co-founder and Managing Director of BioStrata, commented: “I am thrilled that our two newest team members are joining at such an exciting time in our development. As pioneers of the inbound marketing approach for the life science sector, we have significant experience and knowledge in running such programs for our clients. By adding additional digital and communications expertise, we are building upon our ability to create content that resonates with scientists, clinicians and other life science professionals. We are also ensuring we have the extended digital and PR knowledge to deliver this content to our target audiences in a way that raises awareness, creates demand, generates leads and helps nurture those leads into customers.”
As of September 2017, the BioStrata team has grown to 22 people across the company’s Cambridge (UK) and Boston (US) offices. In addition to this month’s senior appointments, the agency is currently recruiting to further grow its content and writing team (more information can be found at www.biostratamarketing.com/about-us/careers/).
